The Washington Court of Appeals reversed the award of summary judgment to Tacoma, concluding a doctor’s testimony for the plaintiff wasn’t impermissibly based on “novel science.”
Shamarra Scott was involved in a collision with a Tacoma Police Department cruiser, which her Estate argued caused her untimely death as it flared up her sarcoidosis illness which lead to osteoporosis and surgery complications which she died from.
